Papa's Birthday

Papa is blessed to share his birthday with pioneer day. (It makes it easy to remember) Here is his birthday cake this year. I got a new icing tip specifically for grass and hair. I can't wait to use it again. The gun show tickets are an inside joke, for those to whom they make no sense.

Kali wanted to make Grammy and Papa a cake. She saw a picture of what she liked and she did it. She is getting pretty good in the baking arena. I hope she keeps it up.

The grounds at Temple Square. So beautiful. Mina kept chasing butterflies and looking at everything. She really appreciates nature.

Living Planet Aquarium

It's tradition with us to go to the aquarium with cousin Elinor every summer when we go to Utah. This year they added penguins.

Bingham Copper Mine - Utah

As many times as we have been to Utah, we never made it up to the mine (even though it is only 20 min from my sisters place). This year we did it. It was fun, interesting and very informative. On our way out I let the kids choose a couple rocks from the parking lot. They were shiny, sparkly and colorful. All and all glad we did it.

On our way back there were wild flowers everywhere, I couldn't resist!
