Mommy I can do it myself.

As most of you know by now Wee One is pretty much totally potty trained.
The only problem we have now and then is...probably not something you
want to read about. Anyway, she is pretty good at it by now. (sorry Becky I. for the accident we had at your house a few weeks ago) So now that we are in this stage of life she is determined to do it all by herself. She doesn't tell me she needs to go she just goes and calls me in afterward. This is so good and a little not so good. One of the not so goods, but really funnies is what you get when she tries to redress herself alone. See...

My new goal.

Well here is my newest goal.

I want to be able to do 100 "REAL" push ups in 6 weeks. (not girl ones) Jason found a website with a training schedule that is supposed to help you reach 100 perfect push ups in 6 weeks. So here I go... Jason is going to do it with me. The first day (today) was pretty good, probably since I only maxed out at a 5. We shall see how the rest of week 1 works out. My goal date for 100 perfect push ups is August 4th. I'm hoping I'll see results in more than just my upperbody. If anyone else wants to jump aboard our crazy band wagon, check out the training schelude here. I'll keep you all posted on my/our progress.

I went to Papa's and all I got was this lousy antler:

Ok, so to Speed it isn't "just a lousy antler." He LOVE, LOVE, LOVES it. He loves outdoors, bones, cool rocks, etc...Papa Lance has at his house a Javelina head stuffed and mounted. My kids love it, and they love to play "find the pig". Papa hides it somewhere in the house and then yes, the kids go find it. This now leads to the antler. Papa let Speed have this small antler. He keeps it with him whenever he can. He makes sure it's safe always, and loves to play with it. Yesterday he asked for tape, I gave him some, and he came out of his room looking like this.

Gotta love it.

Fathers Day

For the Father's day weekend Speed Racer and Girly spent the weekend with Papa Lance. (Along with 2 other cousins) This left JP and I with just Wee One. So, us girls decided to take daddy to dinner Saturday night.

We went to Chili's (yeah! I didn't have to cook) and then walked around to the little water area infront of the movie theater. There was one other little girl there playing and we watched her and Wee One play and play and play. Wee One had to copy everything the other little girl did.

We really had a great night.

Sunday morning my best laid plans failed. Instead of having plenty of time to feed JP breakfast in bed, sing song Happy Father's Day and get ready to go, Jp said "Honey get up it's 8:26am". We were supposed to leave at 9am to get the kids and attend Papa Lance's ward with him for Father's day in Pheonix. Good thing I showered Saturday night. Luckily we made it and all went well. It was a neat experience going with Papa Lance. I was a little worried the kids wouldn't want to go to class in a different place, but all three of them did great. It was see ya, pick me up when church is over. Yeah, they have come so far. I hope JP enjoyed his day. I sure did.

Little Miss Wee One

When things get to be a little to quiet, you know you are in for Trouble.
Apperently she needed to be creative.

Summer Days at Papa Lance's

Papa asked the three Big boys to come help him do some heavy liftn' and eat some grub! So they did, and while they did the kids swam and swam and swam.
They had so much fun they didn't want to leave. Yeah what a brake through for my kids. So now, this weekend Speed Racer, Girly, (not Wee One-sad-) Peanut and J Bear are going to spend the night. Two nights in a row. We will go over Sunday and go to church with Papa since it is Father's Day.

Domestic Goddesses

Sister J and I have been trying our hands at canning food. Yeah! It all started with us being put in charge of food storage for our collective families. We found wiht the meals we wanted to have that we need to have chicken. If you havn't noticed canned chicken is not worth the cost for the little tiny cans when you are trying to feed 21 people. So, we bought chicken at Costco. (cheapest place to get it by the way) After trial and error and lots of help from Kathy McNeil (props to you) we canned our first 50lbs. It only took us ALL day. Well at least then we knew how to do it. Our next few batches have been much easier and MUCH faster. we are so good now we take turns doing batches by ourselves and get it done pretty quick, even with kids around. With chicken under our belts we have ventured on. I have done some pork, Sister J has done ground turkey, jellies and applesause. I went over a few days ago and she showed me how to make applesauce. It is so yummy and Speed ate almost a whole quart jar of the stuff by himself in one sitting. Yeah. I can't wait to do so much more. There are so many women in our ward who do great things. It's nice to start scratching the surface a little myself. Also a huge thanks to Kathy again for her help and use of pressure canner, and thanks to Becky B for the use of her canner also untill we were able to get our own.
