Just put your lips together and blow!

Wee One has been dying to be able to whistle like Speed and Girly. She worked at it for awhile, didn't get it, stopped working on it and I had forgotten all about her whistling goal. That is until yesterday. She was snuggled up in daddy's lap at church, it was quite and peaceful. Out of the blue I hear a little whistle sound. I looked over at them and JP had this look on his face that was just precious. We looked at each other and then down at her. Her face was so happy, "daddy did you here that!" she asked so excited. Then she puckered up for another go, daddy unfortunately had to stop her from exploring her new found talent. I'm not sure if we jinxed her or not, but she has yet to recreate this amazing feat. Oh well, I suppose it is fitting for us that the only time she has been able to whistle is right in the middle of church. Thus is our joyous life. I love it.

Happy St. Patty's Day.

So this is as creative as I get. Corned Beef-check, cabage-yikes, no thanks, asparagus(insted)-check, green potato's-check, green gravy-check. Didn't have time in the morning for green eggs and ham, but Jamie did. (thanks) Maybe next year.

It was a fun meal and a fun day. Thanks for loving it so much JP. I swear they liked it.

FUN IN THE SUN!

Again ALOHA,
Saturday the 14th of March we went to the Aloha Festival. Island roots and all it can't be missed. They have booths with all things island. Clothes, jewelry, music, dried food, pictures, etc. They had booths for the kids to make lei's and poi balls and tapa type designs.

There was music, there was dancing, there was food, oh man - did I mention the food?

This is a Hawaiian shaved ice. They are Ginormous! This one is half gone already. If you haven't had one ever you are missing out. The ice is so fluffy soft, there is ice cream at the bottom the flavors, well they speak for themselves. And as if they weren't good enough you can have sweet cream poured all over it to top it off. Almost like being back in Haleiwa, HI.

The day was SO awsome and I must mention how we got there and back. Instead of driving, finding parking, paying for parking and fighting the crowds to leave we rode the light rail for the first time. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it. Easy to do, and it dropped us about one block away. So Easy! I recommend it.

Thanks to Grandma Litch, Jules, Kyle and big B for coming with us and making it such a fun day!

ALOHA!

Here is the island girl coming out in me. As most of you know my impressionable youth years were spent living in Western Samoa so pretty much anything island related I LOVE. This years Aloha Festival is tomorrow and Sunday. It has moved locations to Tempe Town Lake. I am so excited; it is a bigger (closer) location. You should all go and enjoy. You check check out details here.

Friend Online

I have just loved that the Friend is now online. http://www.friend.lds.org/ (check it out if you haven't)

Speed and Girly like to get on Sunday's after church. Well Wee One having to do everything the other two do has discovered the puzzle section. All my kids are good at puzzles and love them, but Wee One is actually the best. She will sit and do puzzles ALL DAY LONG!
Here is a shot of her putting together Moroni. (she does it all by herself-seriously, I don't help with computer stuff or anything.)

My favorite part is that each puzzle has a corresponding primary song playing in the background. She loves Book of Mormon Stories, so she does this puzzle over and over, soon she'll know the real words. For now I cherish this.

The greatest day,

Okay, today was the GREATEST day. I got up we had scriptures and prayers before shooing daddy of to work (normal). Then I got the kiddo's ready and out the door to school. Next came getting Wee One settled. There wasn't time to hit the gym today so I did a yoga dvd I have at home. It felt great. This gave me just enough time to run across the street to get my hair cut, finish my room and living room before showering and heading to the park to play with my friends and let Wee One play with hers. Plus JP came home for lunch and I got to love on him for a minute before running off to play. (that was a happy surprise.) We got home just a minute or two before Speed and Girly got home from school. While we were waiting for them Wee One and I decided to pull out our bikes and ride them out front, so of course when the kids did get in they had to join us. (fun) After having the brilliant idea to set up the table outside in the garage (I have to say the weather was PERFECT and the smell of blossoms in the air sent me right over the top into the land of Bliss!) to do homework Girly wanted to ride her bike. This does NOT happen often. (She does not trust her training wheels and feels like she will fall over.) She decided she wanted the training wheels off. I said "all right, lets try." We did and she did. Yeah! She can ride a two wheeler now. She was and is soooooooooooo excited. We had to text daddy a pict. Sorry I don't have one for here yet. I'll work on it I promise. Jen H's kids came over to play while she and Speed were at scouts and the baby discovered sidewalk chalk and sliding down a fairly big slide. He was in baby heaven. We all had a blast and got really dirty. Next - dinner, bubble baths, stories, prayers and bed. Wee One played so hard today and without a nap she barely made it through diner, story time was zzzzzzzzzzzz. Seriously. If someone asked me to describe my perfect day, I would say check out March 04, 2009.

I love this crazy boy.

Oh goodness, he is so excited for St. Patty's day. (he takes after daddy) We had to get a St. Patty's day hat that he could wear to school, "all the kids do it mom!" so he picked out this one. He wears it all the time and can't wait to wear it to school (even though S.P.D. is suring spring break). Apparently he can wear it the week before. He cracks me up and is so cute. He really is growing up daily right in front of me.

Oh that Papa!

He loves to surprise. Kind of late one night this man shows up at our door and Girly was ready to call 911 until she heard his voice. Isn't it amazing what the sound of a familiar voice can do. So after realizing we were safe, there were turns to be had.Speed first,

than Wee One,Girly, well she is all girl and you can't mess up the hair you know; so this is what we got of her.
