Utah!

Is there a law somewhere that says everyone in Arizona has to spend some summer time in the state of Utah? I think there is. We did our part. We went up for my nephew's wedding the 2nd week in July. The wedding was beautiful. I was able to go through both the Ogden and Bountiful temples, they are both gorgeous. (Making sure I had my current recommend, now that is a story in itself.) On Saturday the 12th up at the This is the place monument and Heritage park, they had a Day's of 49 festival free to the public. So I pack the kids, my mom, sister, niece & daughter, more nieces with there kids etc... and we went. Here are some of the things they/we did.

Host/Twilight

Okay, it took me awhile to get into "The Host" (by Stephanie Meyer) but once I got past about chapter 7 it picked up, made sence and got good. Thinking to myself, this would make a great movie too. If you havn't read it yet or are like I was. ( Read, stop, read, stop.) Just plunge on through you will be glad you did.

Now to Twilight.

LOOK AT ME New Twilight trailer on Yahoo Movies

Oh, and just incase someone doesn't know. Breaking Dawn is out in 11 days.

What we did in Prescott.

Here is a little about what we did in Prescott for the fourth. We went to the Frontier day parade. Wee One loved all the horses. Speed Racer and Girly loved the free candy being passed out.

We also played at the courthouse alot. We really like it there. There is always something going on, bands, dance groups etc...

We all played ourselves usless at the park up there. Across the parking lot at the park there is a little stream. It had wild sweet peas in bloom and small crawdads. Each kid had to have a turn with dad checking it out.

Unexpected!

It was so hot at Montezuma's Castle sweat was running down my back. (sorry, TMI) So when we got to Dewey almost into Prescott Valley we were suprised to see dark clouds. JP said hey guys we might get some sprikles. With in minutes we had this. (not JP's hand but this is the size)

When we finally got up to the cabin we had a crack in the windshield that started on the edge of the passengers side and went all the way to the center. Needless to say we now have a new windshield. It was crazy.

Also whilst up north we received several good storms. On the Friday the 4th we were blessed with this little gift from the heavens. Not often do you get to see a double rainbow. It was a beautiful enjoyable weekend.

Montezuma's Castle

Well we headed up to Prescott to stay at the cabin with Papa, Grandma, Uncle M., Aunt J. and the boys for the 4th of July weekend. On our way there we detoured a little over to Montezuma's Castle.

While walking around we ran into a very large lizard that just kept starring at us. The kids thougt it was great.

Long lost friends

June 20th one of my best friends from Jr. high and high school came to visit. We hadn't seen each other in about 14 years. It was awesome. It felt so natural, just like old times. She is still who she was. Okay, mabye a bit wiser, but then again she was always wise. She has 4 great kids and even thought it's been about a month since they left I still remember all there names. Yeah for me. Kailynn, Eva, Emma Jean, and Kira. See! Yep all girls. I am so greatful for her freindship and that it has lasted through the years. I know it will continue through our lives. Best wishes to her and her family. Also thaks to her husband Steve who let her come.

Mind you she is from Tacoma WA. So sunshine, heat and pools are pretty big news.

Wee One and Emma hangn' at the steps.

Kailynn, Eva and Kira are going in my scrap pages.

Night out on the town!

Thanks to Becky Bagley I found the place I have been looking for. I have tried for a long time to find a place like this. A place where you can actually sit on the floor to eat. It is called the Guru Palace. (For those who missed Becky's post on this.) It is on Gilbert and Baseline.

We had a wonderful time. The food was awsome. We highly recommed it. Take a walk on the wild side if you have not yet Discoverded Indian food.

The chicken Saag is excellent. Anyone interested in heading out there some night with us. Give us a jingle.
