CAMPING!!!!

We found the best spot for camping ever!! Pine Flats camp sites on Oak Creek. We did have to make our reservations 21/2 months ahead of time but, so worth it.

The kids were so excited to get there, can't you tell. Our site was the one with the water spout, the big trash cans were right across from us (close with no smell - sweet) and the creek was right behind us. We spent lots of time down there "fishing", watching bugs eat other bugs, spotting tad poles, hiking everywhere and anything else you can do down at the creek. Friday we played at the creek, had diner, roasted marshmallows and hit the sack (Mine and JP's luckily was a blown up sack) in our new tent, which I love and it served us well. The weather was perfect and so Sat. we headed up the street to Slide Rock. It was my first time and the kids too. Yes! the water is cold but, it was way fun. Those pict's will come later. The way our family is shaping up Wee One is the dare devil. She was freezing and being dunked under on the larger slides but, with shaking body and purple lips she would say, I go again! Girly slide vertically on the flat rocks and that was good for her. Speed would NOT pay attention to walking carefully and slipped and fell more times than I can count. Finally after being there for two hours of being there and it being time to leave, Speed decided to be bold and hit some of the slide area's. He was so upset we were leaving now that he was having fun. (So sorry hun) We had lunch at Slide Rock and head back to camp via a cute little Dairy Queen we found. Yum! The family next to us had arrived and they had two kids 7 and 4. It was perfect. The five of them played till they had to go to sleep (we even had guests for smore time) and picked it up the second they woke up. They played and played till we packed up to leave. Girly was giving them our number so Mia (7 year old girl) could call her. We all had a fabulous time. It was needed and very much enjoyed. Nature has a way of resetting all your buttons. Sedona truly IS beautiful.

4th of July

Well there were no Prescott memories this year. It was the first year in a few we did the 4th down here in the heat. We survived and had fun anyway. I forgot my camera during the day, but we swam and BBQ'd at Matt and Jamies. She and I got a little well done, but that's okay. Thanks guys!

Sparklers all around.

We roasted marshmallows (in the AZ heat - smart huh!) and made smores. Way fun, especially with the biggest marshmallows I have ever seen in my life. Thanks Grammy.

Yeah for the shop a large private place to be away from the crowds and yet still see the fireworks.

Bath Time!

The other favorite at aunt Terri's house is the big jet tub down stairs. They have to fill it up and make bubbles galore.

We also went up to Kamus to play at the rec. center they have up there. It has a huge indoor swimming pool which is basically an indoor water park. There is a HUGE yellow twisty side that Girly hated but Speed and surprisingly enough Wee One loved. As fast as they could get out of the water they were heaed back up the stairs to do it again. It was a great day. Thanks Steve for getting us in.

We have also sorta started a tradition. Each year we go up my niece and her daughter come over and we have to go to the Aquarium that is down the street. If we didn't Elanor would be very upset. (as would my kids) She waits for us to come so we can all go. Love you cutie.

Found, part of one wedding.

Here is my niece Makenzie and her groom Phillip. It was a fun time and I got to make the cake. FYI. Plain white fondant cakes are the hardest to make. There can't be any flaws. I learned A Lot on this one. It was fun. Congrats you two and a happy life together.

More Utah

We had the chance while there to attend the Oquirrh Mt. temple open house. It was amazing. A few days before we went lightening struck the angel Moroni. I got a pretty good picture of it.

Okay, I won't promise to be better at posting because I hate to break a promise so we'll just see how it goes.


UTAH!

We went up for two weddings. I have pictures of neither. (don't ask) but I do have pictures of other things though. Here we go. We arrived Friday night about 5pm. That gave us just enough time to eat quick and head out to a community theater production of Suesical the Musical. My nephew played Horton the elephant and my niece played Gertrude. It was held outside, the weather was perfect and the kids loved it. Good job Jeremy and Casey! You both rock.

Also while there the kids got to do their favorite things. Take care of the horses, "pick" eggs the chickens had laid and hunt for the foxes. (There is a fox den behind the barn with a mama, papa and 5 babies) We actually brought home chicken bones they found around the den. (not my idea) Here are some shots of them with the animals and in Uncle Bill's awesome garden.

I do have a question? Since when is this normal at the tail end of June?
