Again ALOHA,
Saturday the 14th of March we went to the Aloha Festival. Island roots and all it can't be missed. They have booths with all things island. Clothes, jewelry, music, dried food, pictures, etc. They had booths for the kids to make lei's and poi balls and tapa type designs.
There was music, there was dancing, there was food, oh man - did I mention the food?
This is a Hawaiian shaved ice. They are Ginormous! This one is half gone already. If you haven't had one ever you are missing out. The ice is so fluffy soft, there is ice cream at the bottom the flavors, well they speak for themselves. And as if they weren't good enough you can have sweet cream poured all over it to top it off. Almost like being back in Haleiwa, HI.

The day was SO awsome and I must mention how we got there and back. Instead of driving, finding parking, paying for parking and fighting the crowds to leave we rode the light rail for the first time. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it. Easy to do, and it dropped us about one block away. So Easy! I recommend it.
Thanks to Grandma Litch, Jules, Kyle and big B for coming with us and making it such a fun day!
